How to Shape your 2022 Marketing Strategies

How to Shape your 2022 Marketing Strategies

In a matter of days, 2021 will come to an end. Ever wonder about the marketing trends that will help shape your business next year? Do you have any plans in place already for your 2022 marketing strategies?

Well stop your worrying before your eyebrows meet in the middle. We have the perfect tips to help you with your marketing strategies.

But first, take a few steps back and evaluate everything so that you have a better outlook of the direction you’re heading in for 2022. What were your successes and failures, what were your defining moments, where were you most profitable, which campaigns worked and which did not? These are some of the questions you need to lay out so you can recalibrate for the New Year. Let’s get started:

1. Know your Business’ SWOT

First, what do you want to achieve with your business this year? Know what you want to happen, make room for improvement, set parameters, and provide solutions to your problems. For that to be possible, get your gears ready, hand out your notebook, and try making a SWOT analysis.

SWOT is known as an effective method for conducting an analysis. It is a strategic tool to assess your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

It helps your business to find a direction and also allows you to identify your competitors and analyse comparisons.

2. Be a Goal Digger

Save the golds for the latter and aim for the goals for now. Since you will be doing your SWOTs, it is time to know and set your goals before implementing any marketing strategy.

Start setting your goal by getting S-M-A-R-T.

  • Specific. Be clear with your aims and be sure they are well defined and identified.
  • Measurable in terms of having criteria. Measure your business progress.
  • Attainable. Make sure that you are aiming for a not-so-impossible goal.
  • Relevant and realistic to your objectives and purposes.
  • Timeline. Define your starting and target date. Set a reliable time frame!

3. Dig Dip Down to your Pockets

Budgeting might get you to sigh consecutively in seconds, but you have to dig dip down to your pockets and make those bucks move.

Although it might not be 100% accurate, set a financial projection for all information in your marketing plan; use them to determine what marketing strategies will offer the highest ROI.

You can also try to jot down an estimated budget, and it will help make implementing your marketing strategy live no more in such fantasy.

4. Customers are Always Right!

Nope, it is not about client complaints. It is more of listening to what they want. Since it is a business, you should care about their feedback - hear them out, and communicate with them. Use their voice to strategise better.

Consumer habits and behaviours have shifted in almost every industry in the past few years. Start developing strategies and campaigns that speak directly to them and can potentially convert at a higher rate.

Engage with your customers on social media. Do some surveys. Ask your audience. Options will never come to an end if it comes from them.

5. Tic-Tac-Toe Tactics

Planning a marketing strategy is trickier than just playing some classic tic-tac-toe. It does not always stay with the "x" and an "o". It is more than cookies and scripts.

Once you have analysed your business, audience, and SMART goals, it is time to think deeper into available and reliable marketing tactics.

In choosing tactics, make sure that they are well defined, and aligned with almost everything, especially the opportunities for your business.

This last step should not be hard if you have thoroughly done the first four steps mentioned above. But if it does, don't you worry, it is no small task after all.
